STA Christmas Blessings Project

CALLING VOLUNTEERS WHO CAN BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS AT CHRISTMAS!!  Beginning THIS WEEKEND, we will be undertaking a special "STA Christmas Blessings Project" that will bless those in our community who need assistance with feeding their families. Each week, we will ask you to bring a few grocery items to add to our collection. We will also ask local grocery stores to contribute baked Hens and small Hams to our boxes after our collection is complete.
On December 20th, we will work with Social Services or with STA Volunteers to deliver the food to the families. Or we will see whether they are able to come to the Parish Life Center (PLC) to pick up the food boxes.

If you can spare just $20.00 a week and, in some cases even less, you can be a blessing to an entire family. When you go to the grocery store, just add the items listed below to your order, place them in a separate bag, and bring them to Mass on Sunday.

If you miss one SUNDAY bringing your contribution, feel free to make it up the next week. If you are blessed, and can participate, simply hit "REPLY" to STA Communications and [email protected] with your NAME - EMAIL ADDRESS - and PHONE NUMBER.
Below, are the items that we're asking you to bring each week. Listed are GIANT FOOD prices - if you shop at COSTCO or other discount Stores, your prices may be lower!!! THE LAST WEEK, YOUR ITEMS WILL COST $5.00 OR LESS!!!

Week Five, December 12th, Bring:

• Box of Pasta $1.89
• Jar of Spaghetti Sauce $2.29
• Can of Chicken Noodle Soup $2.69
• Can of Tomato Soup $1.50

There will be boxes in the back of the church each week to collect your items. Thank you in advance for your participation in this "Christmas Blessings Project!"  We will be counting on you, and so will the hungry families in the Anacostia Community.
